I also ask myself the question: 'How on earth did we come up with the idea of wanting to buy a castle?'
It's so strange... It just happens... Maurice, my husband, and I have been successfully running a Bed and Breakfast for about nine years in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, in the picturesque village of FRAHAN! Ten years ago, we'd never heard of FRAHAN, nine years later, it's an integral part of the village's streetscape... One day, we received a call from a casting agency working for the Flemish television company* in Belgium. (*VTM TV channel) How wonderful they would be if we were interested in participating in their bed and breakfast television program "Met4inBed"!

You immediately felt like you were elevated to some kind of TV star. "Appointed to fame!" you could also say.
What really stuck with me were the five days of filming, which ultimately were edited down to just a few hours of episodes. It was an energy-consuming process that you, as a viewer, don't even think about. It's bizarre how much work goes into producing a single TV broadcast. Now that I'm aware of this, I'll never watch any TV program the same way again.
