Millions of viewers were charmed by the duo's friendliness and enthusiasm.

But it didn't stop there... Their successful Bed & Breakfast, 'B&B Bourgeoisie', in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, has been operating at full speed for eight years and is highly appreciated by many Belgians, Dutch, and French people. This eighth season, too, the two gentlemen's accommodation was running at full speed... And they were off to a flying start! Two months later, Steve & Maurice bought a chateau in France...

From Rococo to Baroque

Steve & Maurice were already avid collectors of antiques.

A true passion and flair for interior design, already amply demonstrated in their Bed & Breakfast in the Belgian Ardennes. Where the duo has tastefully decorated six rooms and four holiday homes...

At a chateau in France, the decor is done with passion and a sense of colour during the months of October and November! From old rose to azure blue and from Louis Quinze XV to Chesterfield, from standing lamps to crystal chandeliers...

From Rococo to Baroque...

A wonderful preparation...

For months, objects have been being polished and restored in Steve and Maurice's workshop, ready to be displayed in the Chateau. Crystals are being cleaned one by one and reattached to the chandeliers.

Dozens of antique lamps are being polished and rewired, a huge undertaking that is being tackled with dedication and passion, flawlessly! All preparations for the Chateau are being made with the utmost care and precision...

Selecting accessories and determining the interior in scents and colors...

All facets of the interior design are discussed, prepared, and selected in detail in the shops in France, where Steve & Maurice give shape and color to the interior of their dream chateau. From unique decorative objects to doors and handles, curtain rods, baths and faucets... Floors and wallpaper, paint and colored fabrics—the chateau interior takes shape with great taste and passion.

Often, you get an inspiration or idea of the colors or furniture you'll use to decorate a room right away. Once you've decided on the color scheme, your eye falls on accessories in those colors that complement the curtains, fabrics, and wallpaper. Some objects will immediately fit into the interior, while others are an absolute no-go.

It's fantastic to see a space come to life...

Furnishing a space can involve choosing a unique object, such as this mounted peacock, and then adding azure blue, sublime green, and yellow to the room's décor. Completely coordinated with an object or focal point that will define "The look of the room..."

This gives each room a specific character and unique appearance...
